Delete your account

How to delete it

• On the web: sign in at tarnished.in, open your profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar (the top bar on a phone) and choose Delete account.
• In the Android app: open the You tab and choose Delete account.
• Confirm with your password and by typing DELETE. If you no longer know your password, use the forgot-password link on the sign-in page first; the email also gives your username. If you cannot sign in at all, email [email protected] from your account’s email address and we will delete it for you.
• Want a copy first? Choose Export my data in the same dialog, or in Plan & billing, before you delete.

What happens next

• Your account is locked straight away and you are signed out on every device. We email you a confirmation.
• Any plan ends immediately and is not charged again. The rest of a paid period is forfeited; payments are not refunded for unused time.
• For 7 days you can change your mind: sign in and choose Restore account. A cancelled plan stays cancelled.
• After 7 days your account is permanently deleted.

What is deleted

Your account details, profile picture, workouts and sets, programs and planner, exercises, bodyweight entries, food diary, your own foods and recipes, favorite foods, calorie target details, strength rank, AI training reviews, Tarnished Lab experiments and their AI summaries, getting-started progress, the connection to your Google account if you made one, and your sign-in, email-code and activity records.

What is kept

• Subscription and payment records (plan, dates, amounts and Razorpay references), with nothing linking them to you, for accounting and payment disputes.
• Free trial records, as keyed one-way hashes, for up to 2 years, so that a new account with the same email address does not get another free trial. You can still create one and buy any plan.
• Security and service records for the periods given in the Privacy Policy, from 90 days to 2 years, and copies in our database provider’s backups for a limited time.
